Living in Somerville

A vibrant city blending neighborhood charm, culture, and convenience

Ball Square

Known for its neighborhood feel and local eateries, Ball Square offers coffee shops, bakeries, and dining just minutes from your front door. With the Green Line Extension station right in the square, you have direct access to Cambridge, Somerville, Boston and beyond.

Davis Square

Davis Square is one of Somerville’s most iconic destinations, home to theaters, shops, and nightlife. The Red Line puts Boston and Cambridge just minutes away, making city connections effortless.

Magoun Square

Just beyond Albion St, Magoun Square blends neighborhood pubs, dining, and new development energy, adding to the vibrancy of Somerville’s west side.

A variety of breakfast dishes on white plates, including pancakes with powdered sugar, waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream, and waffles with caramel, bananas, and chocolate drizzle, all on a wooden table.
A woman dancing and holding a piece of paper, with eyes closed and a joyful expression, while a jazz band performs on an outdoor stage behind her, including a saxophonist and a drummer. There is a sign celebrating 50 years of hip hop in the background.

Community

Amenities

The Somerville Community Path is more than a scenic route. It is the site of local creativity and whimsy, as seen in the recent ‘Bike Path Mayor’ campaign where neighborhood pets ran in a playful election along the trail. Today, the path remains a beloved feature connecting Ball, Davis, and beyond.
