Living in Somerville

A vibrant city blending neighborhood charm, culture, and convenience

Ball & Magoun Squares

Known for its neighborhood feel and local eateries, Ball Square offers coffee shops, bakeries, and dining just minutes from your front door. With the Green Line Extension station right in the square, you have direct access to Cambridge, Somerville, Boston and beyond.

Davis Square

A short ride away, Davis Square remains one of Somerville’s best-known destinations. The Red Line makes getting to Cambridge and Boston simple, while theaters, shops, and nightlife fill the area with energy.

A variety of breakfast dishes on white plates, including pancakes with powdered sugar, waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream, and waffles with caramel, bananas, and chocolate drizzle, all on a wooden table.

Community Amenities

The Somerville Community Path is more than a scenic route. It is the site of local creativity and whimsy, as seen in the recent ‘Bike Path Mayor’ campaign where neighborhood pets ran in a playful election along the trail. Today, the path remains a beloved feature connecting Ball, Davis, and beyond.
